Hunting Areas Chris Troskie Safaris has secured hunting rights in a variety of hunting areas in South Africa's most popular hunting provinces. We also offer hunts in Botswana and Mozambique through our associations in these countries. We believe that the most satisfying way to hunt African game is to hunt them in their natural habitat and for this reason, depending on your species list, we will recommend an area that is best suited for your hunting safari.
Limpopo Province
Ellisras (Lephalale) district - size of hunting area - 25,000 acres We hunt from our own property on the banks of the Mogol River which is surrounded by the Waterberg Mountains. Our ranch is a quick 30 minute drive from the town of Ellisras (Lephalale) and a three-and-a-half hour drive from Oliver Tambo International Airport. This area is famous for the free ranging Kudu, Bushbuck, Klipspringer, Mountain Reedbuck, Bush Pig and Warthog. These species as well as most other South African game species can be hunted from our camps - Sabrisa and Zambesiaca. North-West Province
Zeerust / Nietverdient district Hunting from the luxurious Thabana Safari Lodge on 25,000 acres of land Thabana is the hunting connoisseur's dream. Beautiful views from the lodge down onto the hunting area, excellent bushveld with a great variety of game species to choose from makes this a wonderful hunting destination. Located inside the Thukela Biosphere, Emaweni (which means "place of many cliffs" in the Zulu language) is another spectacular hunting destination. The views from the lodge overlooking the Thukela River are absolutely breath taking and this preserve continues producing excellent Nyala and Bushbuck.
